The big meet!

Now that it’s all systems go with It’s the Troll!, illustrator Peter Utton and I met with our publisher, Hodder Children’s Books, in London yesterday to go through Peter’s rough illustrations and to discuss any amendments both to those and to the text. The result? More flaps to be added, a couple of mice to be moved, and a few words to be rejigged. Now it’s up to Peter to work on the final full-colour illustrations, after which there might be a last-minute bit of tweaking to the text so that it works perfectly with the illustrations, before we hand it all over to the printer. Publication is set for September 2017. It will be worth the wait!
